Dating back almost as far as when I left the womb, I always wanted to start my own business. It started with the typical lemonade stand on my front porch in Brooklyn and then continued with the carnival I created for the neighborhood kids in my driveway. I’m not exactly sure but I think I may have tried to sell snow one winter. Trust me…there’s a business idea in all of us…some of us just have to reach a little deeper down to find it.

Just last week a job seeking friend of mine was venting about the frustration she was feeling while actively trying to connect with a recruiter. She said that a recruiter had left her a message just as she was leaving on vacation. When she returned from vacation she could not reach the recruiter again. In this economy, I was not at all surprised.
