"Kidnap a Recruiter for an Hour"

Have you ever wished you could kidnap a recruiter for an hour and coerce them into sharing their insider knowledge with you? Now you can (legally).

I became Absolutely Abby so that I could share the secrets about getting a job that only recruiters know. I've spoken to countless people at several hundred job search groups. And to date, I have hosted over 50 episodes of the Career Wake Up Call, an inspiring and intense, 60 minute "show" that strips the job search process down to the bare essentials as I answer an assorted collection of questions posed by my audience.

Frequently, people email me and ask if I can sit down with them one-on-one to discuss their individual job search challenges. I refer these people to one of the excellent career coaches I've crossed paths with. And because of all of the great feedback I get back from these connections, I've been satisfied to let other career professionals do their part to help those in transition.

Yet, I've found that about 1% of the people who reach out to me, understand the benefits of working with a coach, but instead just want a recruiter's opinions and insights on their individual situation.

If this is what you are seeking, I invite you to reach out to me to inquire about a Professional Career Consulting session with me.

Consulting vs. Coaching

This isn't coaching as I'm not a career coach. Companies hire me as a consultant to come in, look around, and walk them through changes they can make to build a first class recruiting department. When I sit with a job seeker, I look at his or her resume, cover letter, and social media profiles and then share my first impression as a recruiter. Then I give suggestions on how to improve each to make them look like a star candidate.

Do I Need a Coach or Some Time With You?

It's not "either/or". If you are currently working with a coach, think of a consultation with me as a "test" of how ready you are to wow your next interviewer or perhaps a chance to show off the great progress you've been making with your coach. Hovever, if you have plans to hire a coach after we meet, I'll be happy to speak to your coach to share my first impression of you with him or her. Think of this as sort of a professional "second opinion".
